Italy Battles Getty Museum
Italy is in a dispute with the Getty Museum in Los Angeles over art pieces that Italy claims were exported illegally, including Morgantina Venus (pictured). Getty has returned some, but is refusing to return the rest, resulting in an artistic "embargo" on the museum. The former curator of the museum is facing criminal charges in Italy in connection with the art pieces.
